Visitation Catholic School Introduces All Day Preschool and Multiage Instruction for Enhanced Learning Experience
[KEWANEE, Illinois, April 12, 2024] – Visitation Catholic School is pleased to announce the introduction of all day preschool and multiage and ability-based learning starting for the 2024-2025 academic year. These innovative programs are designed to provide a comprehensive and enriched learning experience for young students, fostering academic, social and emotional growth in a nurturing environment.
The decision to offer all day preschool and multiage instruction stems from Visitation Catholic School's commitment to providing high-quality education that meets the evolving needs of students and families. By extending the preschool hours, the school aims to offer greater flexibility for working parents while ensuring that children receive a well-rounded education during their formative years.
"We are excited to launch our all day preschool program and multiage instruction, which are the result of careful planning and consideration to enhance the educational journey of our students," said Wayne Brau, Principal of Visitation Catholic School. "These initiatives align with our mission to provide a holistic approach to education that nurtures each child's unique talents and abilities."
The all day preschool program at Visitation Catholic School will feature a blend of structured learning activities, play-based exploration and social interaction, all under the guidance of experienced and caring educators. This extended program will offer a seamless transition for preschoolers into the school environment, preparing them for future academic success. All-day preschool students will receive lunch as part of the program, and there will also be a half-day preschool option available in the morning, five days a week.
Additionally, the introduction of multiage classrooms reflects Visitation Catholic School's belief in personalized learning experiences. Multiage classrooms bring together students from different grade levels, allowing for peer mentorship, collaborative learning, and individualized instruction tailored to each student's pace and abilities. This approach promotes a sense of community, fosters positive relationships and encourages students to take ownership of their learning journey.
